THANKS Alexander..SOO wonderfully inspiring and exciting. A friend of mine in Canada has a blueprint similar to this but with circulation of grey water plus sunroom etc.. maybe I can tell him to contact OSE -- it would be so great --- he was discouraged to proceed because of the HEAVY bureaucracy determining HOW and WHAT was LEGALLY acceptable in every little village in Quebec

I’ve been following Open Source Ecology since 2011. They received their IRS 501(c)3 designation in 2012.
I discovered them through my grad program research for MBA Intl Economic Development with summer intensive courses in South Africa at the Stellenbosch University campus.
Please pass this on to individuals interested in changing the world for a living, to individuals in mid-life course correction, those interested in lifelong learning, and proponents of post-scarcity thinking. This sounds great, but at the risk of missing the point entirely, to say ‘housing crises happen when we don’t build enough houses’ is far too simplistic. More might help, but not a lot, for the simple reason that housing has become a commodity and there are any number of extremely wealthy individuals and funds looking for something real to put their mind-blowing stacks of money in. It’s the reason house prices are inflated all over the world. You build more houses, and then compete with massive, rootless international funds. They will just buy them, in cash, and rent them to you, if you can afford it.
This is one of the most exciting initiatives I've ever seen. Thank you for sharing it and supporting it. Also check out www.LongNow.org - they're thinking and designing the future, too. And Jeremy Lent's Deep Transformation Network: https://deeptransformation.network/posts/89555564
Our housing crisis here, is from speculative investors, flipping and the game of monopoly.

The cart before the horse, is ill fitted to task.
The older liberal idea was significance to health and a family doctor of means, access to allotted land for unadulterated food provisions, because we can not trust the enemy to feed us, and, a sense of community to put back the village of stability and autonomy, the autonomy of culture, today outsourced for gentrified speed to profit, with no family values in place and no plan to exist or maintain the structure built, the specious claim to provide, not exist in, participate with, or confer the truth of alienation by division, not cohesion.
Family home, family car, family values, care before value or there is no future, just factories and yellow sky policy.

Yes true, it’s more complex than ‘build more houses’ but that is a factor - I think you’re right that the bigger issue is economic incentives
