Brilliant piece. It's hard to write about synchronicity well, but this story does a great job in elucidating the possibility of non-ordinary sensemaking! Non-ordinary sensemaking feels like an essential skill for navigating reality as it becomes ever more complex and confusing

"When reached for comment, Desmet said that he “never used the term ‘psychosis’” and doesn’t endorse using that word; his theory is called only “mass formation.” When asked about multiple podcast episodes and interviews with him that are titled “mass formation psychosis” and where the hosts refer to mass formation as “mass formation psychosis,” Desmet said, “The hosts of podcasts use that term because it leads to more views. If you listen to the podcasts/interviews, you will hear that I often say that I refuse to use the term ‘psychosis.’” Malone did not respond to requests for comment."

Hey Ali, congratulating you on continuing to allow this potent and wise sense making to move through you. Very, very grateful for you and what you are up to. Also, very sad the dates of the course won’t work. I schedule so far ahead. Would have jumped in head first.

You can add this strange, wild and wonderful tale of synchronicity to your official Magician's Biography : )

These are wonderful personal insights and many will have such, but our Western paradigm is not the future. 90% of the world is not going to ride the cutting edge of consciousness into some kind of enlightened DMT realization. It's heading toward a cooperative multipolar order, and the West is too full of itself yet to cooperate.

Very much enjoyed your article. The one force i missed from the Four Forces was understanding. Or maybe it is the one that includes them?

Maybe sensemaking is the agentive aspect of what understanding is the passive aspect of; I don't know. It isn't too much of a figure of speech that understanding dawns on us — well, it does to me whern I reflect on it. It also seems to end the period of trying to make sense of the kinds of experience I'm having, sometimes even in the midst of ordinary life.

Just thought, this might be worth sharing.

I highly recommend checking out Dr Sue Morter www.drsuemorter.com

The "short answer"on FB or her utube channel. Embodiment is her mastery in all this sense making from the mind deeply colored by our protective/ performing personality aka Ego.

She inspires and actually helps with ancient traditions, sacred geometry and Quantum science how to make sence

By inhabiting our subtle anatomy, greater Love, stilling the mind field and beyond the 5 senses to FEEL

sense and consciously evolve in the unified Field as creators of a new paradigm. Big Love ❤️

Consider that cultural knowledge and civilization are a function of each generation passing its knowledge onto the next, for them to add onto and build. Then consider this has been going on for thousands of years.

What if some of those initial premises were simply wrong? Such as a geocentric cosmology, for example. Then everything that follows is GIGO. Patches on top of patches, in some grand Tower of Babel. Yet wouldn't any errors quickly become obvious, or at least obvious by our modern age?

Yet our modern age resembles some enormous Tower of Babel, with all the specialities swirling and squirreling ever further into innumerable rabbit holes of knowledge, that is often mostly just belief.

As these mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of this process called time is of the present moving past to future. Ingrained as the cultural flow of narrative, with physics codifying it as measures of duration.

The evident reality though, is that it is activity and the resulting change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Potential, actual, residual. Duration is the present, as the events coalesce and dissolve.

There is no "dimension" of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Different clocks can run at different rates simply because they are separate actions. Think metabolism. That culture is about synchronizing the community as one larger social organism, based on the same languages, rules, measures, it might seem like there is one universal Newtonian flow of time, but it's rabbit time, turtle, time, etc. Nature is so diverse and yet integrated because everything doesn't march to the beat of the same drummer.

Time is asymmetric, because it's a measures of action and action is inertial. The Earth only turns one direction. Entropy is a second order effect and not the regular cycles used to measure time.

Energy is "conserved," because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color, sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and go, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall. No tiny strings necessary.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it is the digestive system processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the nervous system sorts the information and the circulation system is feedback in the middle.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

Consider as well that democracy and republicanism originated in pantheistic cultures. The family as godhead. To the Ancients, monotheism equated with monoculture. One people, one rule, one god.

The Romans adopted a monotheistic sect as state religion around the time the Empire was rising from the ashes of the Republic. Basically validating The Big Guy Rules.

Logically a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the light shining through the film, than the images and narrative played out on it.

The problem this has created is that ideals are not absolutes. Truth, beauty, platonic forms are ideals, but obviously not absolutes. Every village totem is an ideal. when the entire culture is founded on the principle of assuming ideals as absolute, the effect is constant conflict and enabling the most extreme elements.

While the node, the organism is based on synchronization, the centripetal dynamic of structure coalescing, the network, the ecosystem is harmonization, as all the various energies radiate around.

So one is the node, oneness is the network. Between equilibrium and infinity.

The anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgment.

More yin and yang, than God Almighty.

So now the culture seems to be crumbling, as the powers that be assume their own divine right, but increasingly look hollow. What happens when the house of card does crumble? When the mother of all reality checks does arrive? How far into the foundations are we willing to explore?

Might these synchronicities be energies drawn together, or repulsed, in some cosmic dance?

Have you ever sat back in the deep mind and watched the floaters take on lives of their own, then realize they are separate consciousnesses? Often of other people, but equally other parts of your own being, like that thought that won't quite come to the surface, like someone else trying to get your attention? Nodes in the networks. After a billion years of evolution, we have/are our own built in wireless networks. When you start mainlining that, the rest looks silly.

Just energy and form and much of the energy is aware.

As Emerson said, "We are but thickened light."
